Todd Fletcher has been in the longarm industry for 10 years - working with Linda's Electric Quilters - Gammill Dealership, providing technical support and has been teaching Statler Stitcher training courses for 5 years.  He has degrees in Electromechanical Drafting and Information Technology.  

He is the industry leader in online training courses for the Statler Stitcher and Auto Sketch at TheQuilitngSchool.com. Among many other places, he has lived in the South of England and Sweden.
 

TF01 Designing for Computerised QM

Skill Level: Beginner

Prerequisite: Students should have a grasp of the MS Windows environment. It is recommended that the student brings a laptop to the class.

This hands on course introduces students to:

  • User interface
  • Setup
  • Drawing Entities
  • Rules for Pattern Digitising
  • Creating Simple Pattern Files
  • Exporting to Creative Studio and Precision Stitch
  • Troubleshooting Errors
  • Creating Lettering
  • Digitising Digital Pictures

 

 

TF02 More Designing for Computerised QM

In addition to the techniques described in TF01 Designing for Computerised Quilting, this class will cover:

Advanced entity layout.  As a drafter I used geometry to build drawings. This combination of math and Auto Sketch commands can be used to create spiral graph type designs, satin stitch patterns for machine embroidery, and allow for some interesting visual elements.

Leveraging Auto Sketch to get more out of Creative Studio. 
There are commands and tricks you can employ in Auto Sketch to make patterns better for project placement.

Skill Level: Intermediate. It is recommended that students have completed TF01 Designing for Computerised QM or have a good grasp of the basics.

TF03 Creative Studio – What do I do if...?

Creative Studio demo class-4 hour duration.

In this discussion/demonstration class Todd will take you through the common problems that can arise when you push the wrong button or give the wrong command when operating your Statler Stitcher – Creative Studio.

He will show you how to recover your slip of the finger.

There will be an open forum discussion for any questions that you may have.
