Sharon Schamber

Sharon started quilting just like most of you do, buying the wrong fabric, using the wrong batting, and using the wrong needles.

With time she learned to use what really worked for her and has refused along the way  to compromise her standards.

The learning curve for the novice quilter was steep. When she first began she had no idea that quilts were being machine quilted.

"Scarlett Serenade"

Today she is recognized as one of the foremost machine quilters in the world. She has won numerous awards for her outstanding quilts. Most recently she has just won the 2007 $100,000 Quilt Challenge with her quilt Scarlet Serenade.

Sharon is also the first quilter to win Best of Show twice at AQS Paducah, with consecutive wins in 2006 and 2007. Her 2007 winning quilt is titled Flower of Life. For more information about Sharon please visit her website here.
